Google Goggles is the hottest Google’s service that recognizes elements of images captured by an Android phone (until now. Google has mentioned Google Goggles should be available also for iPhone) and returns results about it. It can recognize books, places, monuments, and many other things. Google Goggles is integrated with GPS and Compass, and the results are simply fantastic. See this video to see the application in action:
